Missions
The heart of the Great Commission is to make disciples.
“18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go thereforeand make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” — Matthew 28:18-20.
These were some of the last words Jesus spoke to His disciples. In 2011, our students had the opportunity to participate in local mission including our own community, Jerusalem and the state of North Carolina, our Judea. This is our primary mission field and the work is an ongoing process. When we cast our twelve-four-one vision back in January of 2011 the vision was to see students participate in local, national, and global missions. Thus, we have implemented a three year plan for missions that will enable students (disciples) to be involved (hands on) in missions around the world.
Please join us in prayer and support as we partner with the NC Baptist men (Deep Impact) to take the Gospel message to New York City. New York City consist of “8.5 million inhabitants who speak nearly 500 languages, New York City is one of the most diverse and influential cities in the word.” This will be an awesome opportunity for your student to take the gospel to our Samaria, the United States of America.
